Avinatan Or was taken hostage by Hamas on the 7th of October from the Nova music festival. He was taken captive together with his girlfriend, Noa Argamani, who was rescued by the IDF. Avinatan is an electrical engineer, loves reading and hosting friends, and is described by his British mother, Ditza Or, as having a wonderful sense of humour.
